Rishikesh - the yoga capital of the world

Whenever this term “Yoga” comes into our discussion then we refer to the two most important things i.e., the first is “Adi yogi” and the second one is “Rishikesh”. Rishikesh – The Yoga capital of the world. The seventh most populated city in the state of Uttarakhand. There are countless reasons that make this city the Yoga capital of the world.

Rishikesh is a city where spirituality and nature walk parallel. a city with big mountains and the green Ganges, a city with lots of sporting activities, a city that will give you time to find yourself, a city with pure magical vibes that will connect to the core of your soul and you will never forget your experience.

This city will help you feel connected to its untouched beauty. The rich flora and fauna of the Himalayan Ranges add more to this city. This city is the gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas. You can easily see the Himalayan Mountain ranges from Rishikesh.

Rishikesh for me !!

For me, Rishikesh is my comfort zone. For instance, whenever my friends say bro let’s plan a trip, I told them “Yaa sure why not, let’s visit Rishikesh” I am on this level of the comfort zone with this place. I have visited almost the most important places in Rishikesh. Found some hidden waterfalls too in the remote locations of this city. Rishikesh is so soothing, you will automatically get connected and you don’t even realize it. Everything there is so perfect that once you visit there, there is no coming back.

I am telling you I can write countless things about Rishikesh and I will not get bored but maybe you can.

Why Rishikesh is called the Yoga Capital of world?

“Yoga” the ultimate source of Adi Yogi, is always an important part of this city. People from all across the world visit here. Have you heard about the band “The Beatles” they visited Rishikesh in1968 and they meditated here in one ashram called “Chaurasi Kutiya” later this ashram known as “The Beatles”.  It was the setting for the band’s most productive period as songwriters. They composed most of the songs for their self-titled double album, also known as the “White Album”.

Talking about yoga in Rishikesh, this spiritual place is known as Tapo Bhumi, meaning the place for yoga and meditation of the Gods. Rishikesh is a peaceful temple town where the Ganges River flows clear and is full of spiritual energy. Rishikesh is a holy place that acts as the beginning of the path leading to the sacred places deep in the Himalayas. A place for the spiritually inclined and for those who seek meaning. Spiritual people will find total peace and will be completely at home in Rishikesh.
